NEIA’s Trade Mission to the Caribbean Region – June 10-14, 2019

NEIA, in partnership with the Atlantic Canada Opportunities Agency (ACOA) and the Department of Tourism, Culture, Industry and Innovation (TCII), is continuing its work assisting firms in the investigation of and pursuit of international business opportunities in the Caribbean region.

Registration is now open for the Spring mission to the Caribbean region with an intent to focus travel primarily around the business week of June 10-14, 2019. Each delegate firm/organization may select to receive support services in up to two markets.

Participants in this trade mission will receive:

  • Matchmaking and Mission Support provided by Amber Mackereth Consulting

  • Hotel Block/Group Rate

  • Airport Transfers In-Market

  • Networking Reception(s)

  • Ground Transportation to Off-Site Meetings

  • In-market Debriefs/Troubleshooting Sessions

  • Mission Follow-Up Services/After-Care

Complete the online registration form by Wednesday, April 10, 2019

If successfully selected as a mission participant, you will be notified by April 16, 2019, and invoiced a mission fee of $600 per firm. You will then be approved to begin discussions and planning with the matchmaking consultant.

Upon confirmation of your registration, you are encouraged to book your air travel at your earliest convenience. Please provide your confirmed air travel itinerary no later than Friday, April 26 to allow adequate time to request and confirm your meeting schedule in-market. The consultant cannot begin to request your meetings until your travel itinerary is confirmed.

Travel Stipend:

Delegates are responsible for their own travel costs. However, a travel subsidy from TCII may be available for eligible NL participants.


To register for the Spring mission, companies must meet the following criteria:

  • Clear financial standing with NEIA and its funding partners ACOA and TCII
  • Completion of online registration form by COB Wednesday, April 10, 2019.
  • Confirmed payment of registration fee

Please note that there are a limited number of spaces available for this opportunity and that meeting the minimum eligibility criteria does not guarantee registration.
