Location: Vancouver, British Columbia, Canada
Target Audience: Canadian and international companies or organizations interested in clean technology
Sector: Clean Technologies

The Globe Forum is Canada’s largest clean economy event bringing together business and all levels of government as well as North America’s largest and longest-running leadership summit for sustainable business. Over the last 25 years, the event has attracted over 170,000 participants from 97 countries. The event includes a world-leading sustainability conference, the Innovation Expo, which features high-profile speakers as well as a large trade show space showcasing 200+ cleantech exhibitors from around the world. The event attracts more than 10,000 visitors annually including Canadian attendees and strong international participation.

Incoming Canadian Trade Commissioners from around the world will converge on GLOBE 2018 accompanied by international delegations of buyers and investors seeking to find an ideal match with Canadian industry providers of the right product or technology and/or capabilities. To facilitate networking as well as business-to-business (B2B) meetings and matchmaking at GLOBE, the Trade Commissioner Service (TCS) will convene an Export Café in conjunction with other government partners to bolster transactions and highlight the announcement of signed deals. As Canada’s largest network of international trade professionals, the B2B activities at GLOBE 2018 are designed to highlight a key service provided by the TCS, one that is highly valued by existing clients — qualifying business contacts around the world. Global Affairs Canada is collaborating with Globe Forum organizers and the TCS network to match companies in advance of the trade show to ensure B2B discussions at the GLOBE Forum are meaningful and results-oriented. A TCS Theatre will also feature market presentations from incoming trade commissioners from around the globe, the launch of Canada’s Cleantech Global Export Education Campaign and information sessions on export programs and services.
