BACKGROUND INFO

Quality Control Workshop: Why should I participate?

Quality control of fuel cell components is critical to support fuel cell commercialization through product cost reduction, increase yields, and increase product reliability. In addition it enables the development of a robust supply chain for the commercialization of fuel cell products. This workshop aims at starting the conversation around quality control and to stimulate exchanges on the R&D needs for this area. Fuel cell manufacturers, components suppliers, R&D providers and equipment developers are among the parties who should be interested in participating in this workshop.

The workshop will aim at understanding the importance of quality control in fuel cell technology commercialization, learn about participants’ activities in that area and stimulate international collaboration among participants on fuel cell components quality control science, methods, instrumentation and protocol among other possibilities. Opportunities for collaboration in this area will be identified as an outcome of this workshop. The topics covered during this event will be around bipolar plates and MEA components.

The long term vision is to create an annual international event held at various locations around quality control to develop non-proprietary, pre-competitive best practices and standards to support the sector and its supply chain.

If you have any questions/suggestions concerning the content of the workshop, please contact Francois.Girard@nrc-cnrc.gc.ca

F-Cell: Why should I attend?

F-Cell is committed to the hydrogen and fuel cell sector and the new concept is based on intensive industry and market research. The size of the conference provides favourable access to the key players in the hydrogen and fuel sectors and for meaningful exchange between the participants on hot topics. The conference is taking place in one of the world’s top innovative hubs for manufacturing and automotive.
