An international business development resource for firms in Newfoundland and Labrador

Business Development Mission to Norway: March 2019

There is significant opportunity for the application of products and services within the offshore oil and gas industry that protect, de-risk, or mitigate effects to the environment, and those that can reduce greenhouse gas emissions throughout the supply chain.

The Newfoundland and Labrador Environmental Industry Association (NEIA), in partnership with Noia and Canada’s Trade Commissioner Service, is leading a group of seven (7) Canadian firms to Norway in March 2019 to explore clean technology opportunities within the offshore oil and gas industry.

Participants Will:

  • Pursue export and internationalization opportunities (e.g. strategic partnerships, joint ventures) with Norwegian firms; and
  • Learn more about how clean technology can be applied within the oil and gas industry through site visits of relevant facilities and meetings with subject matter experts.

What’s Included for Participants:

  • Assistance from an expert consultant prior to the mission to identify business-to-business opportunities and schedule meetings;
  • In-market support from NEIA staff to assist w/ meetings and other mission logistics;
  • 50% reimbursement of return airfare from Canada to Norway (up to $1,000); and
  • 50% reimbursement of accommodations in Norway (up to $200 per night, maximum 7 nights).

Join the Mission!

Participation in this mission is limited to seven (7) firms from across Canada. If you have interest or any questions, contact NEIA’s Manager of International Business Abbie Lacey at abbie@neia.org.
